This bill clarifies and updates the funding sources for the Civil Legal Assistance Fund in Mississippi. The bill specifies that the fund will receive money from multiple sources, including a $5 fee for each civil filing in both chancery and circuit courts, a $24 portion of specialized motor vehicle license tag fees for the Civil Legal Assistance Fund and attorney-specific license tags, and any additional monies made available by the Legislature.
