This option is available for inspections of areas within single-family or two-family residential buildings that are less than three stories high and under ten thousand square feet, provided the permit holder has identified a licensed contractor for the work. For non-structural inspections, virtual inspections can even be conducted using video or photo documentation for reinspections, and the permitting entity is not required to publicly disclose the contractor's name when virtual inspections are used.
