This bill allows athletic trainers who are licensed in another state, territory, or country to provide athletic training services at specific sporting events or performances in New York under certain conditions. These athletic trainers must have a written agreement to work with athletes and team personnel from recognized sports teams, such as those affiliated with the US Olympic and Paralympic Committees, secondary schools, colleges, professional or amateur athletic organizations, performing arts troupes, military academies, fire or police training programs, and similar institutions. The services are limited to a specific timeframe - five days before through three days after a discrete sanctioned event.
