This bill prohibits the use of adhesive-based rodent traps, which are devices designed to capture rodents using sticky substances like those found in glue traps or glue boards, in any buildings owned or leased by the state. The bill defines "state-owned building" and "state-leased building" as they are understood in existing law, and this prohibition will take effect on January 1, 2027, for state-owned buildings and for any new leases or renewals of leases for state-leased buildings signed on or after that date.
