This bill amends the existing law governing the State Board of Medical Examiners to require the board to elect a vice president in addition to its existing officer positions of president, secretary, and treasurer. (doctor of podiatric medicine). This change ensures that the board's top leadership positions are held by individuals with direct medical training. Other provisions of the bill maintain the board's existing powers, such as the ability to issue subpoenas, administer oaths, collect fees, and create rules and regulations related to medical licensing and oversight.
