The resolution highlights Weber's significant professional achievements, including her nursing education from Kings Point Hospital, New York University, and UCLA, her fifty-year private psychiatric counseling practice in Rhode Island, and her leadership roles in the Rhode Island State Nurses Association, where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2011. It celebrates her military service in the Air Force and U.S. Army Reserves, her advocacy for environmental justice and social equality, and her personal achievements as a trailblazing single woman who was the first in Rhode Island to be granted a mortgage and adopt children. The resolution also acknowledges her deep commitment to healing, both professionally as a psychiatric nurse and personally through practices like Therapeutic Touch, and recognizes her as a compassionate individual who dedicated her life to helping others.
