AI Summary

This bill amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934 to require bars (defined as retail licensed establishments primarily serving alcoholic beverages and deriving no more than 10% of gross revenue from food sales) to offer drug testing devices to customers. The bill defines drug testing devices as test strips, stickers, straws, and other tools designed to detect the presence of controlled substances like flunitrazepam, ketamine, and GHB in drinks. While the provided XML only shows a portion of the bill, the government summary indicates that bars must make these testing devices available at a reasonable cost or for free, ensure the devices are not expired, and will be protected from criminal or civil liability for any testing inaccuracies. The Illinois Liquor Control Commission will be responsible for publishing information about the requirements, including details about required signage and types of acceptable drug testing devices, and is authorized to create specific rules to implement this legislation.
