This bill directs the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) to implement a comprehensive safety briefing program for Metro-North commuter railroad passengers by January 1, 2027. The program requires conductors or their designees to provide live and/or recorded safety instructions before each train's initial departure and periodically at major boarding stations. These briefings must cover critical safety information, including evacuation procedures, locations of emergency exits and entry doors, first aid and survival equipment locations, and fire extinguisher placement.
