The bill ensures a smooth transition by requiring the current Commission to work cooperatively with the Department during the transfer of management responsibilities and mandating the transfer of any remaining funds from the existing Somers Cove Marina Improvement Fund to the new maintenance fund by October 1, 2025. The changes aim to streamline marina management and provide more direct state oversight of the facility.
