This resolution establishes the "State of Missouri Seal of Civic Recognition" program for graduating high school seniors, designed to recognize and incentivize students' civic engagement and educational achievements. Eligible seniors can earn Bronze, Silver, or Gold seals based on their years of instruction in governance, history, and civic engagement, with requirements including completing academic coursework in moral and ethical governance, participating in school and community civic activities, engaging in mentorship programs, joining civic recognition clubs, and committing to at least one year of community or military service after graduation. The resolution aims to support students' future educational and professional opportunities by encouraging nominating entities to provide scholarships, internships, or other support, and offers special recognition for students who commit to military service, including a "Letter of Congratulations, Commendation, and State Gratitude" signed by state leadership. The Seal of Civic Recognition will accompany the student's high school diploma, serving as a testament to their civic dedication and potential.
