AI Summary

This bill amends the Administrative Code of 1929 to require the Department of Aging to continually review and evaluate the activities and effectiveness of programs managed by area agencies, which are local organizations that provide services to older adults. Specifically, the bill mandates that each area agency be identified as either compliant or noncompliant with the act's provisions and that their compliance results with established performance measures be reported. The Department of Aging must conduct annual evaluations, including onsite assessments, of all area agency activities and programs, and a written report of these findings must be submitted to the area agency and made publicly available on the department's website within thirty days. The department is also required to gather feedback from program beneficiaries on the strengths and weaknesses of these programs, and other state agencies must provide necessary information for these evaluations. Finally, the Department of Aging will submit an annual report to the Governor and General Assembly detailing its activities and statistical data on services provided to older persons.
