This bill designates a specific stretch of United States Highway 77 in Kansas as the "POW MIA memorial highway" and a bridge in Clay County as the "POW MIA memorial bridge" to honor Prisoners of War (POWs) and those Missing in Action (MIAs). The memorial highway will run from the junction with Interstate 70 in Geary County, north through Riley County, and continue to its junction with K-16 highway. The memorial bridge, identified as Bridge No. 82-14-6.88 (026), is located on K-82 highway in Clay County. The Kansas Secretary of Transportation is required to install appropriate signage along the highway and at the bridge to indicate their memorial status, following the guidelines outlined in K.S.A. 68-10,114.
