This resolution mourns the passing of Duane John Davis, a resident of Pekin, Illinois, who died on November 26, 2024. Born in Jefferson City, Missouri in 1941, Davis had a diverse career that included serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, working as a truck driver for Starr Transport, serving as a police officer for the Pekin Police Department, and working as an equipment repair technician at UARCO. He was an accomplished individual who earned three associate degrees from Illinois Central College and had numerous hobbies including photography, model railroad building, and target shooting. Davis was a family-oriented person who loved pets, enjoyed donating to charities, and was a Chicago Bears fan. He is survived by his daughter, granddaughters, great-granddaughter, siblings, and stepchildren. The resolution, passed by the Illinois Senate, extends condolences to his family and friends, acknowledging his life and contributions, and resolves to present a copy of the resolution to his family as an expression of sympathy.
