This resolution strongly condemns the fraudulent January 2025 Belarusian presidential election and the authoritarian regime of Alyaksandr Lukashenka, who has ruled Belarus for over 30 years. The resolution highlights the regime's systemic repression, including holding more than 1,200 political prisoners, using torture and harassment, and supporting Russia's war in Ukraine by providing a staging ground for Russian forces and participating in the forcible transfer of Ukrainian children.
