The bill excludes these specialized group homes from the definition of "child care institution" and adds them to existing provisions concerning child care facility requirements, including licensing standards, license applications, and transportation. Notably, the bill establishes that no group home for the developmentally or intellectually disabled shall hire staff members under 19 years of age. These changes aim to ensure appropriate care, supervision, and operational standards for group homes serving children with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
