This bill requires the Commissioner of Financial Regulation to prepare and submit an annual supervision and regulation report to the General Assembly starting in January 2026. The comprehensive report must provide transparency about the Department's regulatory activities and include five key components: (1) a description of regulatory compliance in each industry, detailing examinations, investigations, enforcement actions, and consumer complaints; (2) an overview of financial and market conditions affecting industry products and services; (3) an assessment of regulatory fees, including revenue collection and comparative analysis with other jurisdictions; (4) a review of emerging industry trends, new products, and recommendations for responsive regulation; and (5) any additional information the Commissioner considers relevant. The purpose of the report is to inform the public about the Department's supervisory policies, actions, and current conditions in the industries it regulates. The bill specifies that the report must be submitted annually by January 15th, and it will take effect immediately upon passage.
