This bill directs the Legislative Library to send a comprehensive documentation request to all existing boards, committees, and commissions, requiring them to provide current membership details, recent meeting minutes, bylaws, and reporting entities. If an entity either does not respond within 120 days or has not met in the previous 12 months, the Legislative Library will compile a list of these nonresponsive or inactive groups and submit it to the Joint Legislative Administrative Procedure Oversight Committee. The Committee is then required to recommend legislation to repeal the boards and commissions on this list during the 2026 Regular Session of the 2025 General Assembly. The bill aims to streamline and eliminate governmental bodies that are not actively functioning or responsive, with the goal of improving administrative efficiency. The act will become effective immediately upon becoming law.
