This bill establishes the Texas Teacher Recruitment Scholarship Program, administered by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, to provide financial support for students pursuing educator certification. The scholarship offers up to $40,000 ($10,000 per academic year for four years) to eligible students enrolled in a bachelor's degree program that prepares them for teacher certification. To qualify, students must be enrolled at a Texas public or private higher education institution, be nominated by their institution, and enter into an agreement with the board.
