This bill expands an existing juvenile court treatment program that was originally designed for children with autism spectrum disorders to now also include children with neurobehavioral disorders associated with prenatal exposure to alcohol or controlled substances. The expanded program allows the juvenile court to assign a child who is alleged or adjudicated as a delinquent to this treatment program if they are diagnosed with or suspected of having these neurobehavioral disorders, would benefit from the program, and are not otherwise ineligible by law.
