This bill amends the existing law governing the Laurens County School District 55's board of trustees elections by updating the single-member election district boundaries and map. Specifically, the bill changes the official map designation from S-59-55-15 to S-59-55-25 and shifts the start of new district elections from 2016 to 2026. The bill includes comprehensive demographic information for each of the seven election districts, providing detailed breakdowns of population, racial composition, and voting-age population. One member of the school board will continue to be elected from each of the seven defined districts by the qualified electors within that district.
