This resolution congratulates the Harlem High School Bulldogs baseball team for winning the 2024 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Class AAA State Baseball Championship, highlighting their remarkable achievements during the season. The team had an extraordinary record of 38 wins and only one loss, earned a No. 1 ranking in Georgia and a No. 9 ranking nationally, and secured their seventh state championship under Head Coach Jimmie Lewis, who has over 900 career wins. The resolution recognizes the team's outstanding athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and team spirit, as well as the contributions of the coaching staff, including Assistant Coaches Chris Waters, Rusty James, Hunter McBride, and Lonnie Morris. The Senate not only congratulates the team but also directs the Secretary of the Senate to make an appropriate copy of the resolution available for distribution to the team, formally acknowledging their exceptional performance and success.
