This bill establishes a new position of Special Counsel for the Prevention of Gun Violence within the Nevada Attorney General's office. The Special Counsel can also apply for and receive gifts and grants to support their work. Additionally, the Attorney General will be required to submit a biennial report to the Legislature detailing the Special Counsel's activities and the state of gun violence in Nevada. State agencies are expected to cooperate with the Special Counsel, and the position will become effective on July 1, 2025.
