This bill establishes a process for creating special license plates for the Hopi Tribe, allowing for their implementation if $32,000 is paid to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) by December 31, 2025. The person providing the funds will design the plates, subject to ADOT's approval, and may also request personalized plates. For each set of Hopi Tribe special plates, $25 will be collected, with $8 going to special plate administration fees and $17 designated as an annual donation. These changes include updating cross-references in various sections of Arizona's vehicle code to include the new section 28-2470.27 that establishes the Hopi Tribe special plates.
