The bill also clarifies that if an AED is used, it must be administered by a medically certified professional like a coach who is qualified under federal and state laws. Additionally, the bill includes a provision preventing probation officers from being selected for jury duty in criminal matters, extending existing restrictions on peace officers' jury selection. The changes aim to improve sports safety and ensure emergency medical equipment is readily available during youth athletic events.
