This bill authorizes the creation of a new distinctive license plate in New York State that supports the conservation of the Seneca white deer, a rare and unique deer population. Residents can request these special license plates by applying to the Department of Motor Vehicles and paying the standard registration fee plus an additional $25 annual service charge. Before the plates can be produced, the DMV must either secure a $6,000 surety bond or receive at least 200 pre-orders for the plates.
