Born in 1934, Knight was a United States Army veteran, a plumber who held the fifth plumbing license in Williamson County, and was affectionately known as "The Mayor" for his dedicated community involvement. He was deeply committed to local institutions, maintaining the Millview Community Club and swim club for over forty years, and was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Knight was known for his professional expertise, particularly as a pump expert, and his commitment to continuous learning. He was a devoted family man, survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Jean Gainous Knight. The resolution celebrates his legacy of integrity, compassion, and dedication, expressing sympathy to his family and acknowledging his significant contributions to his community and profession.
