The bill maintains the existing $5,000 bond requirement for traditional notary public commissions and ensures that the Electronic Notarization Fund will continue to receive funding from the standard notary public application fees. The modifications are set to be in effect for two years from the date of the amendatory act, after which the original fee and bond requirements will be reinstated.
