AI Summary

This bill amends the Illinois Pension Code to modify the composition and membership of the Policemen's Annuity and Benefit Fund board of trustees in Chicago. Specifically, the bill increases the total board size from 8 to 9 members, with 4 members appointed by the mayor and 4 policemen from the city (instead of 3 previously). The police members now must include one lieutenant, one sergeant, and two members of the rank of investigator or lower rank, which is a change from the previous requirement. The bill also adds language to clarify that any newly created elected position on the board will be filled using the same process as filling vacant positions. Additionally, the bill makes a minor grammatical change by adding "or her" when referring to the investigator-rank trustee and updates the terminology from "ex-officio" to "ex officio". These changes aim to provide more specific representation and clarity in the governance of the police pension fund board.
