This bill establishes an Interagency Council on Homelessness to comprehensively address and prevent homelessness in the state, with a broad, collaborative approach. The council will also be responsible for submitting an annual report to the Governor and relevant legislative committees, beginning on July 1, 2026, detailing their recommendations for addressing homelessness. Additionally, the bill allows for ad hoc members from additional state agencies to participate as determined by the chairperson, ensuring a comprehensive and flexible approach to tackling the complex issue of homelessness.
