This bill establishes the "Suicide Prevention Act of 2025," creating a voluntary program through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) that allows individuals to temporarily waive their right to purchase, possess, or transport firearms if they are concerned about their mental health or have been voluntarily admitted to a mental health treatment facility. Participants can enroll by submitting a request form to their local circuit court clerk, which includes provisions to designate up to two "guardian angels" who may be notified if the person later attempts to revoke their enrollment.
