It requires the State Board of Education to develop comprehensive statewide guidance on artificial intelligence (AI) in elementary and secondary education by July 1, 2026, covering topics such as AI concepts, educational applications, bias and privacy concerns, student data protection, and best practices for integrating AI into teaching and learning. The bill also mandates that the State Board encourage school districts to collect teaching resources to support American Sign Language (ASL) programs, focusing on the importance of ASL instruction and implementation strategies for kindergarten through 8th-grade curriculum.
