This bill amends the Department of Human Services Act to establish new requirements for how the Department of Human Services provides rate information to providers of home and community-based services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Specifically, the bill mandates that the Department must provide each service provider with an updated, detailed rate sheet or rate summary at least once per year for each funded client they serve. Furthermore, when a provider submits valid documentation that would change a client's reimbursement rate, the Department is required to issue an updated client rate sheet within 60 working days of receiving that documentation. The goal of these provisions appears to be increasing transparency and ensuring that service providers have current and accurate information about their reimbursement rates for clients receiving developmental disability services in home and community-based settings.
