Additionally, the bill makes conforming changes to the Smoke Free Illinois Act to accommodate these new cannabis consumption spaces, including allowing cannabis consumption in designated areas of hotels, retail tobacco stores, and other licensed venues. Social equity applicants will receive refunded licensing costs, and venues are prohibited from implementing unnecessary restrictions that would deter cannabis consumption events.
