Specifically, ADOT must send all voter registration details collected at driver license offices (including name, address, date of birth, and digitized signature) to the appropriate county recorder within five business days of receiving a completed registration application or request for renewal. The bill clarifies that this new transmission requirement is designed to ensure compliance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 and does not diminish the secretary of state's existing duties regarding voter registration and election administration. The provisions of this bill will become effective on December 31, 2025, and include a standard severability clause stating that if any part of the act is found invalid, the remaining provisions can still be implemented.
