This bill directs the Secretary of the Interior to convey approximately 3,400 acres of federal land in La Paz County, Arizona, to the county government, subject to several important conditions. The land transfer must occur at fair market value, as determined by a professional appraisal using standard federal guidelines, and the county must pay the appraised value plus all associated administrative costs. The bill requires the county to protect any tribal cultural artifacts during the land transfer, including making good faith efforts to avoid disturbing such artifacts, minimizing potential impacts, coordinating with the Colorado River Indian Tribes Tribal Historic Preservation Office, and allowing tribal representatives to rebury any unearthed artifacts. The land will be withdrawn from mining and mineral leasing operations, and any proceeds from the sale will be deposited in the Federal Land Disposal Account. The Secretary can exclude lands with significant cultural, environmental, wildlife, or recreational resources from the transfer, and minor boundary adjustments can be made by mutual agreement between the Secretary and the county. The conveyance is subject to valid existing rights and any additional terms the Secretary determines necessary, and the specific land to be transferred is detailed on a Bureau of Land Management map dated June 29, 2023.
