This bill amends the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to establish a new grant program that provides $65 million annually from 2026 to 2031 to community colleges for developing high-quality workforce development initiatives. Institutions will be evaluated annually and must meet specific performance indicators, with the Department of Labor providing technical assistance to those falling short of goals. The ultimate aim is to create more effective pathways for workers to gain skills and credentials needed for high-wage, in-demand jobs.
