Importantly, the bill prevents the state or its political subdivisions from prohibiting or unreasonably limiting these rights, while still maintaining the ability to enforce existing health and safety laws related to medical facilities and services. The legislation becomes effective immediately upon becoming law, and it aims to protect and preserve reproductive medical options for patients seeking fertility treatments.
