The bill is temporary, applying only to the 2025-2026, 2026-2027, and 2027-2028 school years. Additionally, by October 15, 2025, both county school boards are required to submit a report to the Department of Public Instruction detailing the implementation of this calendar flexibility, including any impacts on student achievement and recommendations for future calendar modifications.
