To support this initiative, the bill appropriates $500,000 from the general fund to the Department of Health for fiscal years 2026 and 2027, with any unused funds reverting back to the general fund at the end of fiscal year 2027. The database will be developed through a request for proposals process, with the goal of creating a comprehensive resource for understanding total healthcare expenditures in the state.
