This bill establishes the Georgia Music Office (GMO) within the Department of Community Affairs to support and promote the state's music industry. The office will be led by a director with at least five years of music industry experience, selected by the Commissioner of Community Affairs. The office is authorized to develop strategic plans, market Georgia's music scene, and help music businesses and musicians expand their operations in the state. The bill allows the department to adopt necessary rules and regulations, subject to legislative appropriations, and provides administrative flexibility in marketing and implementing music industry support initiatives.
