AN ACT DESIGNATING SPARTA'S FRIED APPLE PIE FESTIVAL AS THE OFFICIAL FRIED APPLE PIE FESTIVAL OF THE STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA. Whereas, the Town of Sparta is home to the annual Fried Apple Pie Festival, which is held at the Alleghany County Fairgrounds; and Whereas, during the Festival, visitors are able to sample a variety of foods from food trucks, listen to music performers, buy crafts from vendors, and enjoy a wide range of fun activities suitable for the entire family; and Whereas, the Festival holds a fried apple pie contest with awards given to first, second, and third place winners as well as an award for the best fried apple pie chosen by those in attendance; and Whereas, the Fried Apple Pie Festival is a unique event held in the State and should be adopted as the official Fried Apple Pie Festival of the State of North Carolina; Now, therefore,
