This resolution joyously celebrates Robert Edward Kenahan's 90th birthday on February 8th, 2025, by formally recognizing his extensive public service and professional career. The resolution highlights Kenahan's distinguished background, including his military service in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, his 20-year career with the Rhode Island State Police (serving 13 years in the Uniform Division and 7 years in the Detective Division, retiring as a Detective Sergeant), his 17-year role as the New England Regional Vice President of Pinkerton Security, and his 35-year tenure as Security Director for the Newport Summer International Tennis Hall of Fame. The Rhode Island House of Representatives officially commends Kenahan for his lifetime of protecting lives, property, and freedoms, and directs the Secretary of State to transmit a certified copy of the resolution to him, thereby formally acknowledging his contributions to public safety and community service.
