This bill amends the Fiscal Year 2025 annual appropriations act to modify the allocation of $1.5 million for Community Security Initiatives. Currently, the funds were designated to the "Jewish Federation of New Jersey," which is not an official organization. The bill instead assigns the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey responsibility for distributing the funds equally among all Jewish Federations in the state to support local community security efforts. Specifically, the bill changes the line item in the state budget, removing the reference to the non-existent "Jewish Federation of New Jersey" and adding language that requires the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey to distribute the funds equally to each Jewish Federation in the state.
