This bill amends the existing law governing the Greenville Health System (GHS) Board of Trustees to update the specific House of Representatives districts that determine board member residency requirements. The bill preserves the board's current structure of having 12-17 total members, with six seats designated as "house district residency seats" and the remaining members serving as at-large representatives. The key change is in the specific House districts from which these six residency seats are drawn, adjusting the district numbers for these seats. For example, one seat will now be filled by a resident from House Districts 18, 20, or 36 (previously a different combination), and another seat will be from House Districts 5, 17, or 19 (instead of the prior configuration). The bill maintains other existing requirements, such as ensuring at least four at-large members reside in Greenville County, two members reside in the City of Greenville, and no more than three members can be from the same municipality. The board members are still expected to represent all communities served by the Greenville Health System and make decisions in the best interest of the entire system.
