This bill modifies the definition of "truck stop establishment" in Pennsylvania's video gaming regulations by removing the requirement that a truck stop must have sold an average of 50,000 gallons of diesel or biodiesel fuel each month over the previous 12 months or be projected to sell that amount in the next 12 months. The updated definition still requires the premises to have diesel fueling islands for commercial motor vehicles, at least 20 parking spaces dedicated to commercial motor vehicles, a convenience store, and be situated on a parcel of land no less than three acres that the truck stop owns or leases. The bill also maintains the existing prohibition on truck stops located on Pennsylvania Turnpike property. The changes to the definition could potentially make it easier for some establishments to qualify as a truck stop establishment under the state's video gaming laws, and the bill will take effect 60 days after its enactment.
