This bill provides funding for the homeownership education, counseling, and training program in Minnesota through a series of financial transfers and appropriations. Specifically, the bill transfers $2,000,000 from the general fund to the housing development fund in fiscal year 2026 and 2027, with the same $2,000,000 transfer continuing each year thereafter. From the housing development fund, $2,000,000 is appropriated to the commissioner of the Housing Finance Agency in those same fiscal years to support the homeownership education, counseling, and training program established under Minnesota Statutes, section 462A.209.
