This bill establishes a three-year pilot program to provide comprehensive addiction and medical services to individuals with significant addiction and medical challenges. The program will create two demonstration projects—one in a rural area and one in an urban setting—offering integrated services including intensive physical healthcare, addiction counseling for both individuals and their families, peer support, and transportation assistance. These services will be primarily delivered through treatment facilities certified by the state office, with flexibility to provide care in community or home settings. The bill also allows for potential facility construction or modification to support the program.
