The bill also slightly modifies the definition of "state agency" by removing the specific reference to "of New Mexico" while maintaining the broad definition that includes departments, institutions, boards, bureaus, commissions, districts, committees of government, and their associated offices or officers. This change standardizes the method for setting legal service fees and ensures a consistent, contract-based approach to pricing legal services provided by the Attorney General to state agencies.
