This bill appropriates $5 million total ($2.5 million in each of fiscal years 2026 and 2027) from Minnesota's arts and cultural heritage fund to the Minnesota Humanities Center. The funding is intended to support a wide range of statewide humanities programs and expand the center's outreach and partnerships across the state. Specifically, the bill aims to support programming that focuses on Minnesota's culture, veterans' and military experiences, professional development opportunities for educators, and initiatives that represent and reflect the experiences of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) communities.
