This resolution commends Tyler William Warren, a native of Mechanicsville, Virginia, for his outstanding athletic achievements, particularly in football. Warren, a graduate of Atlee High School and Pennsylvania State University (Penn State), was a multi-sport athlete who earned numerous accolades during his high school and college career. He won the 2024 John Mackey Award, which recognizes the most outstanding tight end in college football, and during his senior season at Penn State, he helped lead the Nittany Lions to a 13-3 record and a College Football Playoff semifinal appearance. Throughout his college football career, Warren made 50 appearances with 25 starts, recorded 116 career receptions for 1,414 yards, 16 receiving touchdowns, and set a university record with 22 total touchdowns as a tight end. The resolution not only celebrates his athletic accomplishments but also wishes him continued success as he prepares to declare his eligibility for the 2025 National Football League Draft. The House of Delegates resolves to present Warren with a copy of this resolution as an expression of their admiration for his achievements.
